REPORTS TO: CEO and Board of Directors

 

LOCATION: Phoenix, AZ metropolitan area

 

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Implement and manage financial function of organization, providing strategic direction and leadership for the Company on both a short and long-term basis. Work closely with the CEO, management team and Board of Directors to identify goals, strategies, plans and policies, as well as in the implementation thereof.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

·         Assist in developing the company’s growth plans and strategic programs

·         Provide organizational leadership and alignment of team behind financial and operational goals

·         Develop or enhance policies and procedures through systems that will improve financial insight and overall operations; implement and enforce these policies and procedures

·         Provide strategic financial input and leadership on decision making issues affecting the organization (e.g., evaluation of potential partnerships or acquisitions, etc.)

·         Identify and implement Key Performance Indicators to monitor financial and overall health of the business; devise monthly/quarterly KPI collection procedures and put in place reporting mechanism and materials for board review

·         Develop and provide timely and accurate analysis of budgets, financial reports and financial trends in order to assist management in performing their responsibilities

·         Continually improve the budgeting process by involving department managers on financial issues impacting budgets

·         Oversee long-term budgetary planning and cost management

·         Oversee basic IT functionality, particularly as it relates to back-office infrastructure and in the ordinary course of company’s business

 

QUALIFICATIONS

·         CFO for private equity owned companies

·         Experienced financial professional with at least 5 years of relevant experience

·         Candidate must have manufacturing experience

·         Resides in the Phoenix area

·         Qualified CPA with strong, hands-on accounting background preferred

·         Cost accounting experience required

·         Experience managing organization with revenue of $50-$100 million

·         A strategic visionary with sound technical skills, analytical abilities and good judgment
